Along with few Bollywood movie Pooja has acted in Tamil movie Ponnar Shankar. Pooja Chopra's mother, Neera Chopra, narrates the incidents around her daughter's birth. She says she felt like it was a crime that she had committed by giving birth to a girl child. However, she didn't let her daughter die. Neera Chopra walked out of the house with her new born daughter and told her family that this girl would make them proud in the future. Little did she know that her daughter would not just make her family proud, but also the nation when she was crowned Miss India in the year 2009.
